PHOTO PREVIEW GUIDE

Before Uploading a Face Photo: A Privacy Checklist

A face photo deserves a deliberate upload decision. Check what you are sending, where it goes and what you intend to do with the output before starting a preview.

Choose a photo you have permission to use

Use your own adult portrait or one you have permission to upload and edit. A publicly visible picture is not automatically permission to process someone else's face. For a shared photograph, consider other people in the frame before sending it to a service.

Prefer a single-person source. Besides making the edit clearer, it avoids sending unrelated faces. If you crop, keep enough facial detail for the requested preview and save the unedited original separately.

Inspect the background and the file

Look for documents, name badges, screens, addresses or other details that have nothing to do with the preview. Choose a cleaner source when possible. Do not assume a photo tool will automatically remove these details.

Image files can contain metadata. If location or device metadata matters to you, inspect or remove it using a tool you trust before upload; do not assume every platform handles metadata in the same way.

Read the current processing and retention terms

Check whether images are sent to external processing providers, how long data may be retained, what deletion options exist and how to contact the operator. Account deletion, removing a visible image and provider retention can be separate questions.

For PlastyAI, the privacy policy is the source of current processing information. Ask through contact if a point is unclear. This checklist is not a promise of zero retention or entirely on-device generation.

Make a separate decision about sharing

Keeping a concept for yourself, showing it privately at a consultation and posting it publicly are different choices. Before sharing, check the background again and avoid including account or payment details in screenshots.

Label the generated image as an AI concept and retain the original for context. Do not present it as an actual treatment result. If another person appears, obtain permission for that use as well. For a clear way to organize private comparison images, see saving a comparison set.

This checklist helps you make choices; it is not an independent security audit of any provider. For PlastyAI's actual processing terms, use the photo-processing policy.

Keep a comparison useful without sharing more than needed

If your purpose is to discuss one preference, send only the material needed for that discussion and keep the AI label visible. A recipient can save an image, so decide who should receive it before sending. Avoid including an entire chat transcript when a short description of the visual request would do.

Keep personal notes outside the public caption. The comparison-saving guide shows how to organize originals and concepts without confusing them with treatment records.
