Early healing
Your surgeon may use a splint, dressings or internal support. Follow the instructions supplied by your own surgical team; an online guide cannot replace them.
The appearance continues to change
ASPS explains that initial swelling improves over weeks, while the nasal contour may take up to a year to refine. Swelling can fluctuate during that time. This is a general overview, not your personal recovery schedule. Source: ASPS — rhinoplasty recovery.
Plan the practical details
Before surgery, ask about time away from work, transport, support at home, follow-up appointments and when your surgeon expects you to resume exercise. Get written instructions and an out-of-hours contact.
Keep a simulation in perspective
An AI after image does not model swelling, bruising, scars or the passage of time. Comparing an early postoperative photo with a simulation cannot tell you whether healing is normal. Contact your surgical team about concerns.
Questions worth writing down
When are dressings or stitches reviewed? Which activities should I avoid, and for how long? Which symptoms need an urgent call? Who should I contact if I am away from the clinic?
